gasoline

gasoline is a collection of photographs i took and trash i found while walking 16,000+ miles and driving over 120,000 across all lower 48 states + parts of canada and mexico between 2017 and 2023.

while making this, i split time boondocking on public land, stealth-camping on side roads and in wal-mart parking lots, and staying at 400+ motel 6s. at one point or another, i made friends with a barefoot, rifle-carrying man in an abandoned building, was lit on fire, and detained by border patrol.

all photos taken with a point-and-shoot film camera.

book + 10 4x6 final cut color prints: includes 10 full color 4x6 prints of photos that were among the last cuts from the final version of gasoline. location and year handwritten on back.

book + road story *SOLD OUT*: includes a handwritten account of some of my most memorable experiences while creating this project. written on one of the opening blank pages. each story is 1 of 1; no one else will receive the same story as you. limited to 10 copies.
